If you ever want an interesting and a bit of an unique ADVENTURE I highly recommend taking a trip to check out Salvation Mountain in Niland, California. Although, not as big as I had envisioned it sure had it’s quirks and artsy inspiration that somewhat reminded me of a mixture of being caught in a rainbow or the Alice and Wonderland movie. It is definitely a photographer’s DREAM. This is an abandoned area, not run by the government, solely built by a guy named Leonard Knight.
I was SO happy to finally take this journey of an adventure with one of my favorite friends, Crystal. She has been doing make up (and hair styles) for me when I’ve needed in the past and did my MUAH for my wedding renewal a year ago. I promised her a family session and knew exactly where I wanted the location to be. I couldn’t believe it took us over 3 hours to get to this location but once we did, we were amazed at how crazy neat it was. I probably would never go again, but I am so happy that we did! I absolutely LOVE the way her family photos turned out (and so is she, yay!), the bright colors really fit her family’s personality. Such a fun experience that I will never forget. Thank you Crystal, Justin, Skye and Cubby for such a fun filled time! xoxo
