I do believe that this little sweet pea is the most well-behaved, attentive, loving little 2.5 year old I have ever photographed. Miss “C” sure knew how to work the camera and smiled right on queue! In her short session she did so well that she was able to model two outfits and we just had so much fun with her singing, dancing, twirling and shimmying (is that a word?!) all over the wide open field. It was a sweet, sassy, lovely time. Oh to be little and free again! We were able to relive all of those innocent, fun moments right along with this little one.
For some reason this photo reminds me so much of a photo that my mom has of ME as a little girl. I had a gorgeous white eyelet lace dress just like miss “C” in this photo. I also had an eyelet white lace bonnet, but I adore the POP of yellow color her mom chose for her hair bow. Perfectly matched the yellow mustard flowers growing in this field. Her curls…her big brown eyes…oh yes and she has the cutest deep dimples I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous baby girl.
She is just like pure SUNSHINE in this photo…happiness and light.
Outfit change…as soon as she realized she had little ruffles that danced in the wind when she would shake, she started doing the shimmy shake. It was so adorable, I could hardly contain myself. I mean, honestly it was the sweetest thing! So we told her to twirl and she just took over the session from there. I loved every moment of it. A little girl with a mind of her own. It was almost like a different child with the outfit change…hee hee! Oh sweet goodness!
“I hope you never lose your sense of wonder, you get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger. May you never take one single breath for granted, GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed. I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean, whenever one door closes I hope one more opens. Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance and when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you dance….” – Lee Ann Womack, I Hope You Dance
Sweet girl, I pray you never stop dancing. It was such a blessing photographing you in all of your beauty. xoxo
