Oh, the adorable “L” family! It is always such a privilege (albeit a teensy bit nerve wracking!) to photograph a fellow photographer and her family. I always get a little nervous simply because I know my work is held at a higher standard than any non-photographer, or at least I always feel that way in my mind, hee hee. In the end it is always rewarding gaining a friend and learning new things from each other. I am definitely the more “giving” type of person who loves to share what God has given to me, why not help others along the way? I always want to be that type of person, I know maybe others don’t always feel that way (in this industry) but in my heart I will always share, give knowledge and want to help others grow in their art and passion in life.
That being said, I belong to some local Christian photographer forums and just so happened to meet Meg through that forum. I requested an assistant for spring mini sessions and Meg was the first one to reply to my plea. :) She was so amazing and we hit it off right away. I am so blessed to have her in my life and can’t wait for our friendship to grow more! Meg is a wonderful photographer as well and it’s always so much fun to chat about our passion for photography when we are together. As a “thank you” to Meg (and her family) for helping me assist, I offered to do a family photo session and I just LOVE the way these turned out.
First of all I just have to say that Meg warned me, her little sweet Bea had not napped very well that day (honestly, do kids ever nap when you absolutely NEED them to?? no. ha ha!) and I believe she said she had just gotten over a little cold so she was nervous that Bea wouldn’t be her usual self…and was worried that she would be a little on the crabby side. Ha! Well, you tell me, does this look like a crabby face to you?
Oh my goodness, this little lady was just the happiest toddler I had ever seen! Kids have a funny way of showing us up, don’t they? I love it. I may have contributed to the smiles and giggles with my amazing voice and super hilarious (not-so-cool-what-so-ever) dance moves. But, Bea will never tell! Hee hee.
Sweetest family, seriously and they were willing to go anywhere and be adventurous too. Can’t beat that. Here are some sweet kisses…
Her face on the right…the funniest and cutest to date! Thank you Meg for your friendship, help and for letting me capture these memories for you and your family. I hope you enjoy them for years to come. xoxo
